Congratulations to Deb from California

Thanks to Pearl Cove Farm, the 2 year old filly, Chicama Dawn and the yearling, Chappaquiddick Charm arrived May 17, 2010 in Rancho Santa Fe, California. The professionals who work at Lucky Stars Stables were amazed how quiet and well trained these young horses are. The natural horsemanship philosophies Pia practices are evident in their behaviors and responses. The vet who checked the horses before they were purchased and shipped west also commented on how well Pia has done with these young horses. It has been a joy since they arrived.

WAMPUM AND MOSHUP by Sempatico SOLD

I met Pia a few months after losing my Westphalen/Tb cross. I had been looking online for a couple of months for animals that had similar breeding, when I found Pia's farm. Pia and I communicated regularly about Wampum and I finally decided to travel to the Martha's Vineyard and determine if this was the horse for me. She picked my husband and myself up from the ferry and we spent an afternoon getting to know Wampum. I loved his quiet nature and eye, he let me handle him, pick up his feet etc. and never put up a fuss. While we were there I asked to see her other 2 year old Moshup. Moshup seemed more interested in the strangers amongst him and posed for several pictures. I asked if they got along well as they were foaled a day apart, and she said that yes they were always together, and offered to put them in the same pasture so we could watch them. Sure enough both Wampum and Moshup trotted and cantered in perfect step, they seemed to know exactly when their brother would change gait. Sadly the time came to leave the island and I told Pia I would contact her with my decision.
On the ferry home my husband told me I should consider buying both as they were so attached to each other and it seemed a shame to separate them. I had visions of the perfect "Pas de Deux". We contacted Pia and made plans to pick up "the boys." Both were excellent for their vet. exam. The vet commented several times what good natured boys they were and that they had obviously been handled daily. Pia made the arrangements to take a trailer off the island and let us stay with her overnight while we waited for a ferry back. She loaded the boys on a trailer and took them off the island. We met her on the mainland, took them off her trailer and put them on another trailer, and left for Maine. Neither horse seemed at all stressed from the ferry ride and changing trailers. They have been in Maine for a little over 4 months and have become favorites at the barn where they are boarded. Several people stop by to pat their noses and say hi and the boys seem happy with the attention. This spring we will start their dressage training. Both Wampum and Moshup have nice conformation which gives them an easy fluid motion that one would expect from a warmblood. What pleases me most about them is their disposition. I did not want animals that would be over 16 hands and hard to handle, I wanted gentlemen who would be my lifetime dance partners. I am pleased that I chose Pia's geldings, they have found their "forever home."

From Pam's husband: We found Wampum and Moshup to be rugged, athletic, elegant, and good natured. Pia has selected Tb mares which cross well with warmblood stallions. Her website gives an accurate representation of the animals for sale.

Congratulations to Simone from California

I bought my best friend for life at Pearl Cove Farm Farm in 2008.
As soon as I made up my mind to buy a horse I spent an incredible amount of time on the web searching for the perfect horse. Nothing really moved me until I saw Pia’s website with my baby Pace (aka Sirocco) on it! The video of him in the roundpen and running free in the field was absolutely stunning! Right away I could see he was growing up in a peaceful and happy atmosphere. He was one of the most graceful and relaxed young horses I had ever laid my eyes on.
I decided to go to see him on Martha’s Vineyard(from California). As soon as I saw Pace I knew right away he was going to be the one and that the way Pia advertised him was absolutely correct!!
It did not take long to get on him for the first time. I was really expecting him to at least buck me off a couple of times, but I was totally wrong! He seamed really proud to have me out on his back and walk around with me- it was just amazing!! Unbelievable!! I ride bareback nearly every day now with a bit-less bridle. He is just a fantastic horse!!
He is wonderful with anybody he meets. humans, horses , goats and dogs. The first thing he ever had on his back was my pitbull- he was totally calm as usual. About 1 month into riding him I started doing tricks with him… standing and sliding up and down his rear, skateboarding under his belly… he will let me do about anything in the world with him!
He is just an amazing horse- super handsome and elegant- and he has such a good soul. I am absolutely sure it has a lot to do with the way Pia raised him. I really recommend anybody to get a horse from Pia. She raises them with so much love and passion and calmness it really shows in their personalities. You can tell that they never have had a bad day in their lives and know only kindness.

I’m happy for the opportunity to offer tribute to Pia's knowledge, skills, and abilities as a breeder of first class sport horses. Christmas morning 2006 my 13 year old daughter received the crushing news that her beautiful Art Deco mare died from a severe colic. The news was devastating to our entire family. After a few weeks of inconsolable grieving my young daughter decided it was time to pick up the pieces and move on. Her one request was, “I want another Art Deco daddy”. Given our means I knew this would be a tall order. After some looking I came upon a web add for a tobiano Art Deco mare at Pearl Cove Farm. The only catch was we were in Louisiana and Pearl Cove Farm is in Massachusetts. However, after contacting Pia and explaining my situation, and what I was looking for I somehow sensed I had come to the right place. Pia welcomed my wife, daughter, and trainer into her home and treated them like family. After the decision to purchase was made Pia was very helpful in arranging for transport of our new addition, I Dream of Jeanie, back to Louisiana. That was almost three years ago now. Through the entire process of training Jeanie Pia has been available to offer advice or encouragement whenever needed. Pia has demonstrated a genuine interest in seeing that Jeanie became a success. Jeanie is now on her first year of showing in the hunter ring and doing very well. Where ever we go there is no end to the complements about Jeanie. Thanks, Pia, for your friendship and for the professionalism you’ve shown. Sincerely, Joey(Emma's Dad)... St. Amant, LA
